Result Options

Result Options are used to define the result components and their presentation parameters. Additionally the structural parts where the results have to be applied may be selected.

The dialogue can alternatively be accessed by the context menu by clicking with the right mouse button on the graphical ViewWindow and selecting Results Options.

The options are applied to the selected View Window after pressing OK.

A new diagram curve can be added by using the context menu (right-click) of the menu option "Diagram" or of an existing diagram curve item of this menu option, as well as by clicking the button "Add diagram curve". An existing diagram can be copied, renamed or removed by using the context menu (right-click) of it.

SettingDescription
Deflected Structure Select a result to be presented as deflected structure and set the scale.
Colored Faces Select a result to be presented as colored faces and set the Shading.
Diagram Select a result to be presented as diagram curve and set the scale (e.g. 1m = 500 kN). Other than in RM the diagram curve cannot be colored.
Add diagram curve Adds a new diagram curve to the diagram.
Support Reactions

Display reactions for support elements and support nodes for specific components such as: Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz.

Ability to select a scaling factor (default is auto) and the projection in Global and Local directions.

Components and Scaling Select the result components to be presented. See above for Scale.
Displacements Select a displacements or rotation component Total: Vector length of (Vx,Vy,Vz). Vx: Displacement in x direction. Vy: Displacement in y direction. Vz: Displacement in z direction. Rx: Rotation around x. Ry: Rotation around y. Rz: Rotation around z.
Beam Forces Select an internal force Nx: Normal force or spring force in x direction Qy: Shear force or spring force in y direction Qz: Shear force or spring force in z direction Mx: Torsional moment or spring moment around x My: bending moment or spring moment around y Mz: bending moment or spring moment around z
Beam Stresses Select a stress or strain Normal: Normal or longitudinal stress Shear: Shear stress Strain: Linear or nonlinear strain dependent on RM recalculation setting
Global Results related to the global system (Default for deformation).
Local Results related to the local system (Default for internal forces).
Total Total value of the result (Default).
Primary Primary value of the result.
Secondary Secondary value of the result.
Normal Usual internal force at a beam or spring (Default).
Join 'Joined' internal force at composite elements (accumulated from 'children').
Split 'Split' internal forces at children elements (child result is calculated from composite).
Join+Split (Reload) Automatically uses Joined or Split results depending on the type of the element (composite or part).
Leading component Select an envelope row MinVx, ...., MinMz, MaxVx, ..., MaxMz by choosing 'Max' or 'Min' + one result component (Vx, Vy, ...)
Show results for:
Structure as in view options Displays the results for the elements, nodes, cable elements or spring elements that were selected in the View options dialogue.
Selected assemblies Displays the results for the selected assemblies.
Shading Definition of the color range.
